Usually when people talk about "acting out" they mean that someone is expressing frustration, anger, distress, etc. through actions. Can we get more specific?

Usually when people talk about "acting out" they mean that someone is expressing frustration, anger, distress, etc. through actions. For example, a kid's using drugs wouldn't be considered acting out unless the goal is to annoy adults. Lysander (talk) 14:00, 14 October 2016 (UTC)
