Precious Moments (Fremragende timer) is a Norwegian film about age of consent based on a 1997 trial, where a man in his thirties was convicted of having sex with a 15-year-old boy.

Per, a man in his thirties, places a personal ad in the newspaper seeking sex with a teenage boy. Olav, who will turn sixteen in two months, responds and offers to meet him in a hotel near the orphanage where he lives.

The film comments on the strictness of laws on age of consent, how the age of sixteen becomes a "magical date" without any real significance. However, it does so in a subtle and low-key manner, allowing the viewer to make up his own mind about the issue.

Director Lars Daniel Krutzkoff Jacobsen says on the film's official site that "I'm not saying everything that happened was all that 'precious,' but I can't help wondering what the hue and cry is all about."

"...but I do know, we had precious moments together."

The title of the film is taken from Jens Bjørneboe's novel Powderhouse, in which he describes an intense encounter with a 15-year-old boy in France.
