Human Rights Watch (HRW) is an international non-governmental organization that conducts research and advocacy on human rights. It has compiled a report, Raised on the Registry, about the harms of placing children on sex offender registries.[1] It has also called for the end of online sex offender registries in general.[2] HRW also opposed a Philippines cybercrime law that would have defined online child pornography as cybercrime.[3] On the other hand, Jo Becker, children's rights advocacy director at Human Rights Watch, urged ratification of an optional protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child requiring state parties to criminalize child prostitution and child pornography.[4]
