How to request page protection/unprotection/edit of protected page

Only Curators on BoyWiki have access to protect or unprotect a pages. Therefore, this procedure has been set up to allow regular users to request a change in the protection status.

Instructions

Users

If you would like to request a page to be protected or unprotected or an edit to be made of a protected page, please follow the following steps:

(1) If you are requesting unprotection, You need to explain why you need the page unprotected (Example: fix error in template).

(2) If you are requesting protection, write the type of request with a brief reason for your request below your header.

(3) If you simply request a minor edit to be made to an edit-protected page without changing its protection status, state clearly what edit is to be made and the reason for it (if that isn't self-evident).

(4) your signature(~~~~).

Review each item and mark either {{Done}} or {{Rejected}}. In the case of a rejection, provide a brief rationale (e.g. "Out of project scope"). Requests more than a month old should be archived to BoyWiki:Page protection/unprotection/Archives

Two reasons

1. This template is used on multiple pages and is high risk for vandalism.
2. 99 percent of new BoyWiki users don't have your expirance (or any expirance) editing and I don't want to spend all my time fixing fucked up templates.

Unfortunately there is only one mid-range permission I can upgrade you to and that is "Uploader" all others require consent from Bron and the BoyWiki council and Bron is currently on holiday. --Etenne (talk) 18:13, 25 November 2015 (UTC)
