Does Alison count as a vigilante? I think of her as just another sysop who uses her power to advance an agenda, and who gets away with it because the community and WMF support that behavior, in pursuit of those ends. Of course, one of the reasons the community supports it is that the dissidents have mostly been kicked off, and people like Alison and Flyer22 help keep them from coming back. See Sanger's Law. - As with any other cop on the beat, she can choose to (1) look for every excuse to turn a blind eyes to certain kinds of violations, (2) go out of her way to try to catch people committing those violations, or (3) do something in between. The people who choose the second option cause us the most trouble. There are a lot of bad laws and rules out there, but they don't always affect us much unless people are actively enforcing them. In the case of Wikipedia, it's only a small group of people doing that enforcement in the area of "child protection" and Wikipedia's pedophilia articles. Lysander (talk) 07:16, 12 March 2015 (UTC)
- No doubt but again, how is this relevant or have any historical significance to Boylove. How is this Allison person related to our history, culture, and heritage?--Etenne (talk) 07:30, 12 March 2015 (UTC)
- As an antagonist. Kind of like Chris Smith, who isn't a boylover (to our knowledge). Lysander (talk) 11:45, 12 March 2015 (UTC)

- @ Lysander: How about taking the time to do an article about how Wikipedia has excluded contrasting points of view on child sexuality? You probably know more about the "edit wars" than I do. And you could include comments about/research on people like Alison in that article, couldn't you? User4 (talk) 07:17, 12 March 2015 (UTC)
