A pedophile is said to engage in "pedo-think" in which he interprets all behavior by a child as consent to sex, being unable to ascend past the pre-conventional stages of Lawrence Kohlberg's stages of moral development. The implication is that anyone who is a pedophile cannot be reasoned with; he can only be dismissed as a pedophile and kept under control by brute force.
