BoyWiki Dictionary: Agency (dictionary)
n

¹ in sociology and philosophy, agency is the capacity of an agent (a person or other entity, human or any living being in general, or soul-consciousness in religion) to act in a world.

² agency is a term which applies to the ability of a person to self-determination. It was the basis of the original women's liberation movement beginning in the late 19th century. Many second-wave feminists also believe that young people (including "children",) too, should be granted the right to exercise sexual agency.
