Facultative Homosexuality describes a man or boy who lies more towards the heterosexual side of the sexual continuum and who does have some same-sex desire and who engages in homosexual sex and behavior while in or a sex-segregated community such as a boarding school or prison. The same-sex physical activity may be engaged in only for sexual pleasure, power, or control, or in situations where there are no members of the opposite sex without having an emotional connection to their sexual partner.
