Shotacat

Shotacat origins and use on the chans is similar to Pedobear. It is unclear if this graphic first appeared on 4chan or 7chan. Shotacat unlike Pedobear seems to have some historical relevance. It's name appears to have been derived from the Japanese manga’s known as bara shotacon. Manga (漫画?) are comics created in Japan, or by Japanese creators in the Japanese language, conforming to a style developed in Japan in the late 19th century. They have a long, complex pre-history in earlier Japanese art.
