Talk:Encryption
Hi. Good article! You may wish to incorporate information from related articles at BoyWiki which may be discovered through this search: https://www.boywiki.org/en/index.php?title=Special%3ASearch&search=*encryption&go=Go
Perhaps you could also include a discussion of 5th-amendment guaranties against self-incrimination?
Have you checked newgon wiki for related articles yet? There is an archived copy of it at web.archive.org https://web.archive.org/web/20111108195112/http://newgon.com/wiki/ but the search function does not work
Newgon apparently has been reinstated as newgon.net, and there is a search function to discover information.
The relevant article may be this one: https://www.newgon.net/wiki/Guide_to_Computer_Security
NOTE: The security certificate has lapsed at newgon.net, so there is some question as to whether the site can be trusted, and the possibility exists that javascript exploits may be present on the site which could expose the IP address of the person accessing the site (it is unlikely, but it is a possibility). I personally do not access newgon.net because I will not take such risks, even if they are small--but you may feel differently. User4 (talk) 19:57, 30 April 2016 (UTC)

Hey User4 thanks for the suggestions. I was wondering, do you know how to change the way the references look on the page? I would like them to be in columns and appear under the heading References. As of now they are situated right after https://www.boywiki.org/en/Encryption#United_States and it doesn't look clean like that.
Again thanks for all your help.
- I had the same problem with an article from Wikipedia. I believe the references problem is because you are using Wikipedia format for citations: e.g. "#cite_note-5".
- By manually changing each citation to <ref>PUT_YOUR_REFERENCE_HERE</ref> the references will appear in the {{reflist}} section under ==References== (NOTE: I added {{reflist}} in your article.) About columns, you have to ask Etenne. OK? User4 (talk) 20:57, 30 April 2016 (UTC)
- Ok thank you, but before when i added {{reflist}} it was doing really strange things like making the references section appear 3 times. I'll get it eventually I guess. Thanks for your help.
- The "#cite_note-5" references screw the page up (if I remember correctly from fixing an article of my own) and they all must be removed. If you copy the contents of the page and paste into a straight-text editor (like Notepad under the Windows operating system) you may find it easier to use a search/replace function to help in fixing them. (NOTE: using one additional colon at the beginning of your response indents the response. I added one to your response above. For example, this response to you has 3 colons. Also, if you copy this ~~~~ and paste it to the end of your response, your user name and the date/time will appear after your response [you will be "signing" your response].) - I have now made a few small changes to the coding, and I think the problem is now fixed. I removed the junk with {{cite... and added the missing </ref> to the last of the references. I made a "junktest" version, with changes, here: https://www.boywiki.org/en/User4/junkencryptiontest
- Does it look better now? User4 (talk) 21:37, 30 April 2016 (UTC)
