Welcome to BoyWiki! We hope you will contribute much and well. You will probably want to read the help pages. Again, welcome and have fun! Etenne 02:08, 9 October 2016 (UTC)
Images
Dandelion would you like to be the person to work on uploading images? I just can't seem to get to it. If so, I will explain what you need to do. --Etenne 13:30, 29 August 2017 (UTC)
- I would be glad to help. However, if other users are going to contact me, I'll need a BoyWiki email address, as I would prefer not to use a personal account. Dandelion (talk) 19:07, 29 August 2017 (UTC)
- I have changed you status so you can upload images. Free Spirits email is a bit wonky right now and I prefer to use the internal system for requesting image uploads. BoyWiki:Requests for file uploads--Etenne 14:12, 30 August 2017 (UTC)
- Thank you very much. Dandelion (talk) 20:00, 30 August 2017 (UTC)
- Quick note: When you upload an image, please try to indicate how the picture is licensed or if it is in the public domain ( something that indicates that it is free to use). You should also try to indicate the author if known, so they are credited for their work. --Etenne 20:18, 1 September 2017 (UTC)

What does that mean? Thanks. Wanker (talk) 02:49, 4 February 2019 (UTC)
- I think it's Boylove Sourcebook (see https://www.boywiki.org/en/Category:Boylove_Sourcebook) FalseAlias (talk) 03:39, 4 February 2019 (UTC)
Request for image upload
Hi Dandelion, I wrote a message to Etenne a couple of days ago but I'm not sure if he still visits here, so I thought to ask you, since you have permission to upload images. I'd like to add a picture of this podcast's logo to this article: [MAPs irl].

- Dandelion, not sure if this link will work but if not I can email it to you. Hikari-again (talk) 06:06, 2 August 2019 (UTC)
- I checked the Twitter account for the podcast. Is this picture OK? Dandelion (talk) 22:51, 2 August 2019 (UTC)
- Yup, that works. Hikari-again (talk) 05:56, 3 August 2019 (UTC)
- Done. Sorry for the delay. Dandelion (talk) 00:54, 4 August 2019 (UTC)
- Thank you, no problem! Hikari-again (talk) 23:16, 13 August 2019 (UTC)

Anglosphere
Hey Dandelion, do we have any more info about the anglosphere, the non-anglosphere, and the differences between them that are relevant to boylove and boylovers, and the reasons why they are the way they are, with regard to those topics? Currently there's not a lot of info in those articles, but it seems like I've read more about it elsewhere, I just can't remember where. Thanks, Lysander (talk) 20:54, 21 February 2020 (UTC)
- Hi, Lysander. Sorry for the late reply, I had a problem with my computer. I recommend that you seek advice from BoyChat users who may be acquainted with the relevant literature. Edmund, Kit, Filip30, Sick Rose, Shy Guy and Pharmakon are some names that come to mind. Hopefully they can provide you with the titles of articles and books, if not with links or quotations. Dandelion (talk) 06:18, 24 February 2020 (UTC)
Thanks
Much appreciate the texts and links on Islamic boys. Wanker (talk) 23:48, 19 April 2020 (UTC)
- Hello, Wanker. I'm glad that you found those posts interesting. The credit for digging up the recent couple of texts (as well as several others that I repost here), goes to Edmund and his website Greek Love Through the Ages, an excellent source of information on the history of pederasty. Have a nice day. Dandelion (talk) 06:42, 23 April 2020 (UTC)
could you help me understand how i should use this wiki and discuss a project with me?
it seems like you're the only active user. hopefully i can change that and you'll be only half of the active users :p
if you're willing to, add me on discord (halos#7621) or wickr (cliscute).
the project is copying the research pages from newgon.net (formerly newgon.com) so that i can expand on them here, as newgon is just an archive now. https://www.newgon.net/wiki/Research
- Nice to meet you, Halos, and welcome to BoyWiki. Sorry for not replying sooner, but right now I'm taking a little break from editing (at least until I find new content to post). In order to get acquainted with the site and its format, I recommend that you take a look at the articles in https://www.boywiki.org/en/Category:Help, particularly https://www.boywiki.org/en/Help:Editing_BoyWiki_101.
- Etenne comes here sporadically to create accounts for new users and to delete pages, but contacting him through BoyWiki is difficult, so you probably won't interact much with him. However, there is more frequent activity from other posters, such as FalseAlias, who may provide you with help or advice.
- Your project seems like a good addition. Personally, when I edit or create pages that are different in content from normal "wiki-style" articles, such as essays and reviews, I make new, distinct categories, with names such as "Boylove Essays" or "Boylove Reviews", and add the names of those categories between parentheses at the beginning of the titles of the pages, like in the articles here https://www.boywiki.org/en/Category:Boylove_Book_Reviews. In this case, perhaps you could create the category of "Boylove Research Compilations" or something similar, and keep the titles of the original pages from Newgon.
