On the wonders of Easter, and the evils of pedophiles
Ah! It's Easter again! What a wonderful day for children--a day to romp around on lawns, to dig around in shrubs and bushes in search of candy surprises! Imagine the smiles on the children's faces when they discover a hidden "Easter egg". How wonderful!
And then, of course, there are the solemn ceremonies in church: the liturgies celebrating the miracle of a man who was crucified to death on a cross, but who then rose again from the dead! Clearly, a miracle! The miracle of life reborn!
But, like the myth of Santa Claus, every child will some day discover that his or her trust has been betrayed. And betrayed by the very ones whom the child trusts the most--his own parents! Children inevitably discover that there is no Easter bunny hopping around and hiding sweet little Easter egg candies for them to search for and find.
But this "betrayal" is, of course, socially acceptable. No-one frowns upon it. It's "fun" to fool the little children with imaginary tales of rabbits laying candy eggs (and men dying on crosses, then rising again from the dead). It's all done in the great spirit of fun!
But should a sick, perverted, nasty, sex-crazed pedophile somehow "betray the trust" of a child--by suggesting to the child that certain forms of touching may feel good (while also, of course, warning the child to keep what they do a secret, because the adults are totally irrational and become completely crazed if they should find out about it) then the monster pedophile has "forever destroyed the ability of the child to ever trust anyone again"!
Hmm... Am I understanding this correctly? Something seems wrong in all this...
Well, Happy Easter! Don't let the little bunny touch you in the wrong places, kids!
Remember, children: Good touch, Bad touch!
And Good lies, Bad lies.
