Sigmund Freud
Sigmund Freud was an Austrian neurologist, now known as the father of psychoanalysis. In 1935, he wrote "Homosexuality is assuredly no advantage, but it is nothing to be ashamed of, no vice, no degradation; it cannot be classified as an illness; we consider it to be a variation of the sexual function, produced by a certain arrest of sexual development".
Psychoanalysis has been replaced by other modalities of treatment (save for a small and well-to-do group who can pay for an expensive and extended treatment health insurance does not cover). One of Freud's most enduring achievements is his discovery of children's sexuality. Children are sexual creatures from before birth (fetuses masturbate). Children have sexual desires, pooping in one's diaper is fun, and mommy, who can be cruel, is really interested in your poop. Boys naturally want to fuck their moms and are very jealous of dad who gets to. The act of nursing is very erotic for both the mom and the child. Adult-child sex, which may or may not be the cause of adult neuroses, is far more common than anyone would admit, then or now. Boys are jealous of their dads' big penises, and confused, even worried or scared, that females do not have penises.
