Interesting that conservatives, who usually dismiss concerns about psychological trauma as being whiny ((for example, they passed laws removing the right of prisoners to sue for psychological pain), have apparently bought into the idea that sex offenses need to be harshly punished because of their potential to inflict psychological trauma. It's usually Republicans who introduce new sex offender legislation that incarcerates without regard to physical harm or lack thereof to the victim. Lysander (talk) 15:55, 16 March 2015 (UTC)
