Reasons for deletion

  • Abandoned Articles for creation submissions
  • Abandoned entry/draft left incomplete having structural issues that make it unreadable.

Uh, maybe it would have been better to save the contents somewhere, so that they could be edited and corrected, either by the original editor, or by someone else. The original contents took quite a while to create. So now to have to recreate from scratch the entire contents would be a lot of work (not to mention the negative emotions entailed). I just now returned to add some new material to the article, only to find it gone.

By deleting contents in this manner, the editors (who work for free, and out of the goodness of their hearts) would tend to be discouraged, and then refrain from further participating, wouldn't you agree? --User4

This is pretty much standard operating procedure on most wikis however if an entry is created as either a user sub-page or draft entry (which this one was not) i.e. User4/The Major Uranians or Draft:The Major Uranians there is no problem with keeping it longer. Or in the case of a user sub-page, keeping it as long as you continue to be a registered user so long as it is within the TOS and BoyWiki:Content guidelines. If this is a page you wish to work on again, I can undelete it. See also Uranian poetry--Etenne (talk) 13:59, 18 February 2015 (UTC)
OK. I would appreciate if you could undelete it. Maybe move it, like you said, to one of my sub-pages -- then if it is in such poor shape it won't be a problem for BW until I fix it. OK?

BTW - I have forgotten how to do many things in wiki coding - it will take a while before I get back up to speed... See, I'm a fast learner, but I'm also a fast forgetter... My bad... user4
