Uh, maybe it would have been better to <em>save</em> the contents somewhere, so that they could be edited and corrected, either by the original editor, or by someone else. The original contents took quite a while to create. To now have to <em>recreate from scratch</em> the entire contents would be a lot of work (not to mention the negative emotions entailed). I just now returned to add some new material to the article, only to find it gone.

By deleting contents in this manner, the editors (<em><b>who work for free, and out of the goodness of their hearts</b></em>) would tend to be discouraged, and then refrain from further participating, wouldn't you agree?

Uh, maybe it would have been better to save the contents somewhere, so that they could be edited and corrected, either by the original editor, or by someone else. The original contents took quite a while to create. So now to have to recreate from scratch the entire contents would be a lot of work (not to mention the negative emotions entailed). I just now returned to add some new material to the article, only to find it gone.
